For perspective on Colorado College, its self-identified peer schools may be of interest:

As a mom of a kid just accepted to Midd, I'm so glad to hear this. Kid loves the outdoors and wants this type of culture. Also really loved CC but Midd edged it out. Not an athlete so glad to hear it's not an issue.

what do you mean harsh about Colorado? The college? The state? Why?

Not PP but any times Boulder or CC are mentioned the pearl clutching about pot kicks in. News flash: it's legal in a lot of other places now.

Similar to my daughter’s list two years ago. She got into Midd ED2 after not getting in to Bowdoin. She was also accepted to CC EA and it was a strong contender. One of her oldest friends is at Carleton and loving it. Lots of great options, good luck to your DD

Thanks! Hope your DD is enjoying Midd. All of these LAC's look like great places to spend a few years.

Bluntly speaking, I do not know of any other two schools who enroll & produce as many total a-holes.

And I am not a kid & I have several decades of experience in this area.

If your kid comes from a wealthy family of liberals who accept drug usage & expect privileges, then he will fit in just fine.

An interesting take. Former "liberal" VP Dick Cheney's kids, Liz and Mary Cheney, are graduates, and Liz is an honorary trustee.

One of Gorsuch’s kids attended too
