Places are named as a guesture of respect to past leaders. Trump doesn't seem to recognize that.

Installing yourself as chairman, and packing the board with subservient yes-men in order to force your name onto a building is not how you gain permanence -- because it is not done with respect. It is done out of fear, or to gain bonus suck-up points, or whatever.

The next Democratic president will simply pack the Kennedy Center board with their own subservient people and remove the name. And I sincerely doubt any Republican will fight hard to keep Trump's name on anything.

If Trump even bothered to listen to anyone, he would realize he is destroying his own legacy by trying to force his name onto everything. The sad thing is, we, the American people, will pay the cost, be it in chiseling out his name from all the buildings or in restoring the Kennedy Center's ticket sales to it's pre-Trump levels, or even tearing down that juvenile Walk of Fame.
