Yale and Harvard Law grad, made some noise on the socials criticizing Trump and his uncle RFK Jr., who he just referred to as a rabid dog on a chain in the White House, one part of Trump’s agenda to destroy the legacy of the Kennedy family in DC and in the minds of Americans.

Trump *does* seem obsessed with hating the Kennedys, probably because they were so loved and a malignant narcissist can’t abide anybody else getting the glory.

I’m excited to see another young Kennedy step into the arena. Of course I grew up in the Commonwealth and most of us admire our Kennedys, or most of them anyway. I was heartbroken when John Jr. died, I think he could have done amazing things in the arena.

Let’s see what his nephew can do. Noblesse oblige.

We don’t need any more bergs in power.

He is still appallingly unsuitable for public service. No more suitable than Robert Jr.

Haven't contemporary politicians convinced you of the FAFO of electing people who maybe should restrict themselves to dogcatcher type jobs, or as he's doing, social media content which already shows how ridiculous he is?

+1 Same for Ted Kennedy.

Ted is dead. Perhaps keep the focus on the living pols as that tragic story cannot be rewound.

Then I guess you don't ever mention or give accolades to former Pres. John Kennedy and forner Atty General Robert Kennedy?

Ted Kennedy cannot be brought back from the dead for a do-over. If Chappaquidick had occurred 20+ years later, then it probably would’ve been disqualifying for him as an Dem pol. Alas, that is no longer the case for MAGA. Part of the GOP rebrand included scraping any accountability for their leaders’ past actions.

It’s a crowded field for this Dem primary. Schlossberg has his lineage, but probably not much more here.

Because she's a Kennedy.

It may not be for the Youngs, but for the Olds and Medium Olds the notion of yet another tragedy befalling Caroline Kennedy is, if not truly *news*, something that commands attention. And I bet both the New Yorker piece and today's NYT summary are seeing crazy traffic.

I have always felt so bad for Caroline, most especially after her brother died. This is just another level of awful.

It seems sort of gross, like the do-nothing brother is trying to exploit it for his own personal gain.

He should just chill and wait for a Democratic administration to make him ambassador to Ireland.

You’re excited about him running for Congress? FML.

Entirely untrue assertions - he’s had a career and worked, even though he probably could live off family fortune.

His posts aren’t remotely as ridiculous and offensive as those made by 45/47 so that dog don’t hunt, even a little bit.

There not assertions, I saw those posts. Wasn't he living in Hawaii, surfing and babbling crazy train on social media. That's entirely how he got on my radar a few years ago.

Why is the bar held at "well he isn't as ridiculous or offensive as Trump"? So what? The people in that district don't deserve someone who doesn't roll around on the floor of the grocery store? The dog does hunt. You can put lipstick on a pig, it's still a nepo baby pig.

Let's get real here. C Kennedy has done a lot for the party over the years, including being a strong influence on her uncle endorsing Obama in his first run. That was no simple feat as many in the party didn't want to cross the Clintons - that's not unusual and if you think it is, then there is a whole bunch of lit on Bush II's '00 prez bid.

Plum posts but they do often go to folks of her profile. It's not as if the GOP only selects the best - just check out Trump's cabinet, ambassadors, and his special envoys.

She’s been battling the cancer for almost two years but is now terminal. She and her husband have two very young children.

Incredibly sad; seems very likely this tragic reckoning with mortality is what has driven Jack Schlossberg to want to be something more than he has previously been.

🥹Tatiana: Reflecting on her family’s history of tragedy, Schlossberg wrote, “Now I have added a new tragedy to her life (Caroline), to our family’s life, and there’s nothing I can do to stop it.”

She said she is now concentrating on the time she has remaining with her family. “Mostly, I try to live and be with them now. But being in the present is harder than it sounds, so I let the memories come and go.”

Her siblings, Rose and Jack Schlossberg, have been helping raise her children (3 and 1) and supporting her through treatment.

TBH, it seems an interesting choice to run for Congress when your sister is dying and you are helping to raise her children.

You're a fool if you think Obama, Biden, and Harris never did anything in the past or future with the EOs you have up and down the ballot.
