I saw it today and am reading this thread thinking what sex scene? There was no sex scene.

It was a long movie. I found it boring at times. I didn’t love that there were only a few good songs. The actress who plays Madame Morrible cannot sing at all and I don’t know why she was cast - good actress but terrible singer. Ariana was amazing. Cynthia was ok, not my favorite Elphaba as far as singing goes.

He explains in the first part that he vilified the animals, so that it can bring people together by giving them something to hate.

The water melting Elphaba is a rumor that spreads in Oz (this is revealed during "Everyday More Wicked" at the beginning of the second movie), Elphaba takes advantage of it to fake her death but she and Fiyero know she can get wet.

So that's why they included the sex scene? 🤔 😆

I liked it! It was not as good as the first, but nowhere near as terrible as this thread makes it out to be.

I went last night.
I was more annoyed by the 35 mins of previews than anything else.
Didn’t love how the Wizard was her bio dad. That was stupid, and the tin man and scarecrow
I did find it entertaining though which is what I went for and I like the messages about standing up for whats right, helping the animals, etc.

Correct. That’s why it’s ridiculous to have Fiyero choose her. Green is scary and no one else in the world was green. Not realistic.

Marketing for the first one was good and I really wanted to see it. Only to be hugely disappointed. Sure the two marketed songs were great but the rest fell flat. As someone who had not see the Broadway musical I felt there was no character development and I could not have cares less about either character.

Did anyone think the new Tin man was psychotic? That was not his demeanor in the original Wizard of Oz.

The whole turning of Boq into the Tin man didn’t even make sense.
