To be fair, Patrick is a nice guy who isn’t bad loooking. But he, and is not exactly the “Asian hot guy” that he advertised himself to be.
She’s shallow for sure. And was definitely playing a game and appearing on the show with every intention of returning to her ex who is not a good guy at all but who is probably super hot.
But I think if Patrick had been a hot Asian model with some bad-boy swagger, he could have been her type.

Yeah that was bad. But he also wasn’t even that into her in the pods until she started sexually seducing him phone-sex-style him through the wall.
And then of course when he saw her he was thinking “jackpot!” But the way she was all over him with the kissing both at the reveal and at the breakup where she neglected to actually make it clear she was breaking up with him was brutal. You can’t really fault him for not having a clue.

He shared stats recently on his show that illustrates that the percentage of people identifying as LGBTQIA+ is doubling with each generation over the past 60 years. So it’s not a completely unusual inquiry to wonder why that would be the case. And “is it a fad?” isn’t the weirdest question to ask when the increase is so drastic.
It’s just naive of these two to wonder it to each other while knowing they are being filmed because they have to know that it definitely be treated as homophobic.

If you already know that looks are essential to you, then you choose another show to go on—not Love Is Blind. Literally the entire premise of the show is to set aside looks entirely. Mostly the “experiment” tends to prove that most people are either too shallow for that or their looks aligned and pleased their partner in such a way that the attraction reinforced their emotional connection.

Agree.
And Kacie is clearly there for fame but spiraled when she saw him and had zero chemistry. When she was breaking the news to him about not going to Baja, I almost felt bad for her while watching her go overboard on being physically all up on him while unsuccessfully trying to break up with him. You could tell she was just panicked that “they” were going to try to make her look shallow for dumping him because of his looks. Which she totally was—but she knows that would be a terrible look. So she way overcompensated.
Honestly, if Patrick hadn’t been such a desperate poser himself, the producers might have succeeded in villainizing Kacie and getting me to feel badly for him. But truthfully it was very clear that he was just in it for fun and fame too or he would have just left after Annie ghosted him.
