These leftists clearly weren't prosecutors or former prosecutors. A grand jury is a prosecutor's tool, they run the show and can carefully craft the evidence presented, especially if they have ethical challenges. The defendant gets NO opportunity to present their case or question the government's. This is why the old adage about indicting a ham sandwich.
A judge has the power to toss a case that smells, as does a sensible jury after seeing the evidence tested in a court of law with a skilled defense attorney advocating for the truth.
