The ones I was close to growing up, I see 2-5 times a year (including holidays). For the ones that I saw maybe 6 times in my life when I was child, never.

Cousins are sort of my replacement for my difficult sister, who I'm grey rocking as best I can. I have four cousins, all living in other states. One cousin is the only surviving member of her own family (cancer hit them really hard) and we seem to be sort of gravitating towards each other as surrogate sisters and are even planning a vacation together. On my mom's side, I see one cousin every few months when he comes to DC, and I exchange emails with another every few months. The third has a very big-deal job and seems pretty unavailable....
There's also cousins as opportunities for travel and mini-reunions. I have tons of cousins in England and Scotland. A few stay in pretty close touch--we have a pretty good thing going on in terms of sharing spare bedrooms for vacations and small-scale family reunions. Several owe me big-time, so I need to plan those trips. Although, since January, nobody seems to want to come to DC, go figure (one did propose meeting in Canada instead, lol).
Otherwise, it's weddings and funerals. Including for the overseas cousins. None of them seem to include my difficult sister, who thinks that's because I talk about her--but I swear I've never breathed a word about her to any of the cousins, it's just that she's shown everyone who she is.

Definitely less after grandparents died, but probably had more to do with we were all married and having kids and had our spouses families too. As a 55 year old, it is now more for funerals and weddings.

I only have 4 cousins and I very rarely see them. It’s trivial in the grand scheme of things, but I do send them holiday cards each year and I think only 1 reciprocates. We had fun together as kids, but didn’t grow up near one another and have little in common as adults.
