+1 Unfortunately this is very true. They supported WTU keeping schools closed which ruined countless black youth's lives, do a horrible job with supporting special needs in schools so those kids end up illiterate and without good futures, and enable crime and drugs so more blacks end up drug addicts and criminals.
DC politicians have failed black youth every step of the way. DCPS is basically a jobs program. They sold it to WTU for the votes at the expense of DC's children.

I live in DC and didn’t know this. I have never heard it. While I know there are areas of DC where crime is high(er), there is no crime where I live other than an occasional rash of cars broken into /rifled through.
I also work in a somewhat rougher area of DC but I certainly don’t see crime on my drive to &from the office. I don’t feel the need to lock my doors or roll through stop signs (to prevent car jacking).
Trump and MAGA’s are full of it. DC is no worse than any major metro area and better than many in RED states.
Nah, I lived in Shaw for 20 years. Crime is definitely underreported. I could give my own anecdotes, but that would be anecdotal. The truth is, police don’t take a report. Sometimes they don’t even show up. I’ve spoken to officers sitting in their cars, and they said there’s no point in making arrests since the bad guys are released right away by the courts.

Anonymous wrote:In DC, there's really no crime unless someone is murdered. That's how they juke the stats. It is too hard for them to sweep dead bodies under the rug. All of the carjackings? Didn't happen, because the police conveniently don't investigate or report it.

Karoline Leavitt told reporters Tuesday, “last night, approximately 850 officers and agents were surged across the city. They made a total of 23 arrests.” But according to the Police Scorecard, the D.C. police, between 2013 and 2023, made roughly 58.7 arrests on average each day. But they got the sandwich guy!

Arrests don't mean squat. I once read a book how liberal blue Baltimore jukes crime numbers. You know how Baltimore Police got arrest numbers up? They arrested a whole bunch of black people for minor things like jaywalking and bicycle violations like not riding without a helmet. They never crackdown on hardened violent offenders, drug slingers, pimps, and the harder criminals. Police in liberal blue cities love when all they have do are "arrests" and and performances are based on "arrest" numbers alone, because they arrest a whole bunch of people for minor things and get to sit in court during hearings over tickets for things like jaywalking. They sit in courts after their shifts too, so all that time in court they get to charge sweet gravy overtime. That's why you have patrol cops making $200k+ salaries. Meanwhile, liberal blue mayors get to tout "increased arrests" while crime only goes down because they juke the numbers.
So you’re saying there was never actually a crime problem to begin with. Glad we’ve cleared that up.
Just like the economic numbers. If you don’t like outcome, manipulate the data.
They also manipulated COVID data to cover up deaths. They want to junk weather satellites farmers rely on to hide climate change. Lying about stats is basically part of the Republican platform.

How do they report “ someone moved my car, but I have it?” Did you know that parking enforcement sometimes moves peoples cars to other locations if they are blocking traffic or an emergency activity.
