I like instagram. My algorithm is pretty good because I get almost all comedians, not the famous ones but social media ones, and funny dog videos. I also like some news sites.
The fast popular girls have been on it secretly since 11 years old. The academic smart girls usually aren’t.

TikTok algorithm has been engineered by the Chinese Communist Party to addict people and induce psychological stressors. YouTube is bad, but it’s just addiction not psyops — also the algorithm TikTok is extremely sophisticated far beyond competitors.
There’s no solid proof that TikTok’s algorithm is being used for CCP mind games, and honestly, all social media apps—from YouTube to Instagram—are designed to be addictive. Instead of banning teens, why can't we just teach them how to use these platforms wisely? You can't ban it forever. Plus, banning TikTok would only keep teens from enjoying the creative and educational content it has to offer—and yes, there’s actually a lot of great content on there.
Because their brains are still developing. Same reason we don’t give them alcohol, cigarettes, and drugs at a young age and teach them how to use it “wisely.” Best to delay as long as you can to give them the best chance at having a normal brain and not becoming depressed/awkward.

Most likely they are lying to mom. Or they don't have friends so they say they aren't interested in these things as a coping mechanism
This teens with no friends are the biggest consumers of that type of social media. They have nothing to do except consume what others produce.

I teach teens. It’s a fairly common attitude among more media savvy teens. Especially those with lots of opportunities to do other things.

We get it, some of you are realizing you did your kids dirty by letting them loose on social media way too early and you’ve watched them become moronic little lemmings. Can’t undo that and now you’re just lashing out.
