Agree.

The entire cast lost their royalty income when society "cancelled" bill cosby. The was an unfortunate consequence that never should have happened. The Cosby Show was one of the best children's shows ever created.

Given that Bill was just one creep among so many creepy powerful men, it is crazy to think the entire cast took his punishment when so many hollywood predators are still making money and walking the streets.

Gosh, people are so judgy. He might have been a great swimmer, he might not have been. But no one is stronger than the ocean and it’s easy to lose sense of direction when things are going crazy. Very sad.

I read an article this morning that said he was taken out by the rip current with another swimmer who was near by. They were both rescued at the same time. MJW was pronounced dead at the scene but the second swimmer was taken to the hospital where he is in critical condition.

Bill Cosby BTW was always a bad man. He is making up his stuff about Malcolm.

before the Cosby show he filled a Jello Pudding Pop commercial near my house growing up. We went over to watch as in park near my house.

He was rude and nasty, had a stunt double for when kid was talking as he dont work with kids, locked himself in trailor and pushed his way by kids watching when over. He was horrible. And he was always that way.

Highly doubt on Cosby he all at once loved kids.

I would really prefer if we could keep this thread to appreciations of Malcolm-Jamal Warner's accomplishments, career and life.

Maybe we could start another thread about our mixed feelings about "The Cosby Show" in light of Bill Cosby's crimes? It's an important topic, but really a different one than reflections on MJW.

Very sad. He seemed like such a genuinely lovely and kind-hearted person and he was so much fun on The Cosby Show! My heart breaks for his wife, daughter and other loved ones.

I hear you, but I think it's a lot easier to separate MJ because it's mostly just singing or dancing and not that connected to him being a person in the world with a family. Cosby's show and his comedy routines were centered around his family experiences and he really portrayed himself as a role model for husbands and fathers. Of course, it was a great show to watch at the time, and Malcolm owes his career to him. It's sad that the show doesn't feel the same any more.
