Meh, I'm a white woman with long hair and not extensions. I can't speak for all, but to automatically assume they are fake is incorrect in a lot of cases.

Unfortunately there is a stigma against white women wearing wigs or false hair. The ones I know with extensions pretend it is real. It's like a personal failure not to be able to grow lush long hair.
