They'll then bring a bunch of F1, H1b and what not here on temporary visas, have us train them then claim we don't have any skills. But when we do they have to go home. Oh and by the way Democrats want us to fund our competition.
These threads comparing investments in science make no sense. Let the Indians and Chinese pay for their own training.
Prime example Elon took our tech went and built a giga factory in China, now BYD is totally killing Tesla. But first Elon made enough money to wreak havoc on our political system even now he's meeting with China on these things.
You really sound crazy and uninformed. This all started in 1972, with POTUS Richard Nixon going to China to open up political and trade relationships. And the Republican business establishment loved it pushing subsequent POTUS, both republican and democratic alike, for even more access to China.
So, Democrats are like Nixon?
Nixon was a Republican.

Unvaccinated migrants had nothing to do with it. Just a coincidence? No.
No way !!! And not Zika, ebola, West Nile virus, TB or monkeypox either. Those came from white nationalists !!!
Since you’re cherry picking in an attempt to make some sort of racist point, don’t forget smallpox, measles, typhoid, mumps, and influenza. Those were introduced to this hemisphere by white settlers.

Just a quote from that article: he $154 billion figure the smallest amount that the federal government has spent on science in this century. ... The proposed drop in federal funding for science research, if approved by Congress, could let China match or take the lead in global science investments, Ms. Zimmermann said. ... In April, the science group published figures showing that China had greatly increased support for its scientific enterprise in the past two decades. As of 2023 — the most recent year available for comparisons — China’s investment was close to equaling that of the United States.
Word is Trump and the republicans brain trust think China is so far ahead on green tech, pharmaceuticals, medical advances and green energy that the US can not ever catch up. The only areas the US can compete in is oil and gas tech and some agriculture areas. So they have decided to throw the towel in. This is why all the research is being canceled.
You mean guys like Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, Bill Ackman?

Why are we killing science?
Passing thought I had today thinking about the Harvard vendetta--wonder how many Jewish scientists will see their research aborted?
