But the standard for custody is best interest of the kids with a slight slant towards parental rights.

As PP said, bankrupting your cheating spouse isn’t in your kids’ best interest.

Putting the kids first models maturity and responsibility, which is what kids need in order to be and choose healthier partners for themselves.

The desire to punish and shame another is only an attempt to avoid fully dealing with the grief of betrayal.

My ex wife had multiple affairs and cheated several other times. I wouldn’t want her to face any kind of legal consequences. I’d prefer to just move on (which I did).

I can see why she cheated on you several times. You have tiny balls. Next time you get in a serious relationship stand up for yourself. You should never be with dige who cheats on you MULTIPLE times

For the record, I’ve been remarried now 22 years and have a wonderful relationship. No issues with my balls have come up. And the previous affairs? I didn’t find out about them until the end - and that was the end.

LOL, no. Most people, especially guys, can't get one person to want them let alone multiple.

Isn’t divorce a legal consequence?

You can't jail someone for not liking you. Get over it. Force yourself. You are wasting your life.

They don't punish cheaters because no one asked you to marry them.

If you put a fidelity clause in a contract and put details on how cheating will be determined as well as how the "punishment" will be enforced, you probably punish them.

Otherwise looking at the rates of infidelity, any reasonable person going into marriage should know there is a chance that cheating will occur. If you know this and don't specify the course of action for if it happens, you are indicating that you don't want the cheater punished.

Go to Saudi Arabia if you want to leave in a place where cheating is a crime. You’ll be happier.

+1. Because also what would happen is women would get killed for it and men a slap on the wrist.

Oh, the cheater won’t be innocent:

Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge. Hebrews 13:4

The problem with going to court is it costs money and only a judge decides. The proof needed is too high as well. If the court costs went down more people would do this in VA. Maybe start there. Show proof your wife or husband is cheating sexually or not having sex with you for over a year and your court costs go down. That would get more people to file for these reasons.

Of 10 beautiful people in NYC maybe. No way that's typical.
