If they are enjoying the sex, then why is it a bad idea?
Half the girls are enjoying the sex. Maybe. The rest are blackout drunk and won’t remember what happened in the morning. Some are drunk but still aware and are talked into it. Some think they have a relationship with this boy but he has different ideas.
I cannot believe that all of you are so clueless.

I don’t get the word empowering with regard to having sex. It means the process of becoming more confident and more strong, controlling your life.

Anonymous wrote:Quick question--do you mean that they are having literal sexual intercourse casually? I recall there being a lot of "hooking up" in high school (and at beach week) that did not involve literal sex. Are you just assuming it's actual sex? I am wondering if times have changed that much...

Heartbreaking.
I had one. Zero regrets and zero impact on my life. Not everyone is that dramatic
Many factors go in to how one feels about their abortion(s) as time goes on. Consider yourself lucky.
You never know how you will feel down the road. Not to mention, you sound like you are in denial to feel nothing.
Life goes on for these girls.
Exactly.
Is there anyone here (born and raised in the USA only), who never had any casual s*x in college?? (which normally begins at age 18, btw).
I didn’t, and lots of my friends didn’t - plenty did - but there is a big group who didn’t.
I am not judgemental about my friends who had casual sex - the majority of the time I think they felt like it was their choice and that felt empowering, but few thought the sex was good (usually bad) so ultimately not that satisfying.
I don’t think having casual sex should be normalized- it’s actually not the “typical” experience or even the experience of the majority of teenagers or college age kids.

Not always. Some seniors can be 17. Even so 17 and 18 year old are still kids.
No they are not kids.
Not in the eyes of the law.
Birth control people sex Ed etc.. open conversations with your kids boys and girls.
Well, the law was put in place so that we could send them to war not because they are actually adults.
