Good? No. There are more than a few kids with 3.9+

Decent? Yes. With that GPA, you are getting the educational and training benefit of going to TJ but you will probably not see any improvement in college admissions. Most kids fall into this category.

End of what year? As each successive year opens options to more +1 weighted courses, the midpoint class GPA moves up as well.


This is at the end of Freshman year.

4.2 at the end of freshman year would certainly place in the top quartile
