+1 this is exactly it. It's almost as though the left is deliberately choosing issues that a large majority of Americans, including democrats, find repulsive. Then they say things like "if you don't agree with this, you're an actual Nazi" or "if you don't vote for me, you ain't black" and a not-insubstantial number of people are insecure enough to actually fall for that.

The far left Democrats think words like oligarch, facist and nazi resonate with people outside their tiny bubble. They believe wholeheartedly that if they fill social media and forums like this with stories about illegal immigrants without major criminal records being deported that center left and center right people will be swayed. They couldn’t be more delusional. Immigration is an 80/20 issue in America.

A big one is that they can foster stronger communities by promoting trust between immigrants and local law enforcement, leading to safer neighborhoods and increased cooperation in addressing crime. Also, they allow immigrants access essential services like healthcare and education without fear of deportation. I know that sounds like something you all think we should cut off but i would rather the undocumented in this country be getting an education and healthcare while here, than not.

As it turns out, sanctuary cities are only really sanctuaries for criminals. These illegal alien criminals prey on other illegal aliens. Rape them. Murder them. Seems as if the idea of them "leading to safer neighborhoods" is a huge fallacy.

Have you lived in a sanctuary city? I live in Boston. It’s an amazing city. I’ve never been robbed/raped or murdered.

I hope you have real world experience of century city and are not just relying on Fox News.

If your standard for quality of life is not getting robbed/raped or murdered, you've got some issues.

DP... my standard in addition to not getting robbed or murdered is livability, a city that has a lot to offer, like music and the arts, museums, good mass transit system and so on, That's all stuff that most red cities suck at.

Aw, cute. Boston isn’t a real city and your train system is a total mess. My daughter can’t complain enough about the red line.

Compared to other cities' metros, Boston is very good. You don't have to worry about homelessness and crime.

Have you ever been around the Boston Common and specifically the big water fountain in it?

It's a gathering of drug addicts and crack heads all in one place. There's constant crime there.

You are highly uninformed. Do you know what MCI-Walpole was filled with?
Thanks for ruining my breakfast.

All MAGA has is FOX-which we know is an entertainment network.

Boston’s Mayor Wu has apparently gone MAGA now that the owner of the New England Patriots’ son is running against her. Mayor Wu abandoned the city’s youth to fund the militarized oppressors that prey on vulnerable communities.

Instead of crime fighting, divert all resources to immigration quotas. Drag some mommies out of the court house and call it a day.

If an individual is wanted in connection with federal RICO charges, local police coming in contact with that individual does not allow them to arrest that person in their jurisdiction on the spot, or, if they are in court on an unrelated charge, they cannot turn the individual over to the feds?

It's all right there -

The essence of “sanctuary city” laws was to protect criminal aliens from removal / deportation.

There is no other way to characterize sanctuary laws than: “pro-criminal-alien.” Y’all voted for this.

In contrast, I back President Trump on this one.

Exactly.

Actual “sanctuary cities” or fake ones due to sloppy AI work?

I'm from a red city and a red state, my standard is not being raped and murdered, which is why I left.

And even with it's bad train system Boston is still better than most red cities (most of which wouldn't qualify as "real cities" either.)
