How else do we solve without cuts to entitlement programs. Taxing the rich won’t solve the problem, doesn’t bend the curve enough. What do you suggest we do to solve the problem?

And before anyone says it isn’t true, in Virginia at least it definitely true.
I am one of those “wealthy parents”. do you know the additional costs special needs require? The therapies insurance doesn’t pay for or only 80%? The care they need because they can never be left alone because of their seizures?
Parents of special needs. Children are not living on the high on hog through Medicaid.
Medicaid is for poor people. Your child is not poor. Millions of parents have children who have regular doctors visits, PT, OT, Speech, therapy visits, specialized medication and those people still have to meet their deductibles, pay their office visit and prescription copays and pay fully for additional visits that insurance does not cover. It's a huge expense for many families. Why are they not covered too? My good friend's child is disabled. If he gets an ear infection unrelated to his disability, she does not even pay the co pay or the Rx cost. That makes zero sense, and even she agrees.
So EVERYONE on Medicaid should be cut off because of your good friend's child?? Perhaps there is a reg requiring them to have to use Medicaid for all treatments as oppose to pick and choose.
Just please stop.
Nobody said that lady. But there are people on Medicaid that shouldn’t be and we all know it. And now it’s going to be sorted out finally.
Nothing is going to be “sorted”. You are going to let thousands of people die for every one person who abuses the system (and FYI, it’s hard to abuse this system.) Do you know ANY big program or organization where some a-hole doesn’t take advantage? You can’t run any big program without having some of that. And if THAT upsets you, wait until you hear about how our current president is abusing the system for his personal profit!
And this is going to shut down more rural hospitals and cancer treatment centers that make a large portion of their income on Medicaid patients. And their employees will
lose their jobs and move to cities. Rural areas are going to have very little healthcare at all.
Enjoy living in the Middle Ages again.
I’m paying through the nose for private healthcare with a crazy high deductible. I’m tired of subsidizing everyone else. I don’t live in a rural area. I’ll be fine. And I didn’t vote for Trump. But not everything they are doing is wrong.
Explain how medicaid subsidizes by your private health insurance.

How can you be too disabled to work but are fully capable of hiking a few miles to sit in your tree stand for hours hunting deer? How are you too disabled to work due to anxiety but had zero issues attending Taylor Swift's Eras Tour 3 times? Too disabled to work, but can post gym bro content for their 11 followers.
Those are all the people who should be kicked off. Not elderly granny and grandpa. Not the kids with medical issues.
So lemmi get this straight. You have multiple relatives who are defrauding Medicaid by faking disabilities they dont have. Have you reported them? You see a crime being committed and say nothing?

No, they’ll come after the next of kin to pay the bill. It’s already a law but rarely enforced.
