For a school with a higher acceptance rate than the schools in this group, look into Connecticut College.

+1 DD got into W&M as a target. GWU and Connecticut College were safeties - both great in their own ways but CC was more similar to W&M in vibe and campus.

Virginia is not a red state and Williamsburg is one of the most liberal cities in Virginia
I know that VA is not usually a red state. But any state that Trump won in 2024 is too red for me.
