I am sorry. Trump has no clue what is going on. The "advisors" don't even tell him. Have you watched even one press conference? How many times does he say, with absolutely no shame, "I don't know. Obviously this is the first time I am hearing about it." He doesn't even feel responsible for knowing what's going on.
Stephen Miller is calling the shots. For a while, Elon was making decisions but he got sad and left. I am sure there are others we don't know about it. Trump wanted to stay out of jail, make money, and have people kiss his a$$ all the livelong day. He got it. He is too lazy, unintelligent, indifferent to even want to lead.
And political instincts? Shaking my head. ZERO.
That is really one of the most inaccurate statements I have seen.
Russ Vought is calling the shots. He’s the cabinet member in charge OMB which is the nerve center of all major decision making.
And Trump is completely out to lunch.
PP you are responding to. I don 't know as much about Russ Vought (other than being the architect of Project 2025). Can you elaborate on his role now and how he is calling the shots?
DP. He has control over every federal agency. Budget, regulations have to go through him. He is implementing P2025 through his role.

Anonymous wrote:Bush started the Iraq War under false pretenses. Trump has not done anything that has caused that many deaths yet, though abruptly cutting off foreign aid is certainly killing a lot of people.
That being said Trump is less competent, more unstable, and aggressively trying to grab power. That's scary in a different way than Bush was.

Every time a new Republican comes along.
"This guy is evil and dumb."
"This guy is so much worse than that guy. The last guy was actually reasonable. He was pretty bright and sophisticated."
They went from saying Romney isn't one of us(literally a campaign ad) to wishing he were the President.
There will be another guy that comes along and liberals will be saying Trump was actually a good guy.
No, we won’t. Who are you planning to run next, the devil himself?!
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:No. I always felt that Bush — with Cheney— was a terrible president, but he wasn’t a completely terrible human being. I could imagine having an enjoyable dinner with him and Laura — as long as we stayed away from most political topics. I think he quite often meant well — but couldn’t really understand or anticipate some of the huge problems that could be expected to accompany what I view as terrible policies. No Child Left Behind is one example.
Trump, though, was long seen in NY as a racist, a dishonest and bullying businessman, and as someone you would not want to get stuck in an elevator with. Some people adore that. It’s a very different vibe. I don’t think people ever used words like “malignant narcissist “ and progressive “dementia “ about Bush, for all his highly problematic decisions.
I guess you need to go back to that time. Seems you have forgotten what was said about GWB by the left, again and again.
