My point was that the G7 thing was one of the rare instances where Trump bowed to bipartisan pressure and reversed course. Of course he blamed Dems and the media, but still...

So when the plan sinks, he can claim that after analysis, he and his team "of the best people" saw intractable ethical and security concerns so, being the MOST ETHICAL administration in HISTORY that is overwhelmingly concerned with security, he has decided not to move forward with the plan.
