What a stupid suggestion.

Anonymous wrote:If that email was real, it went out to upperclassmen so would be a dorm that wouldn't affect freshmen.

The new dorms are considered “premium” and more expensive than the older ones.
The difference is around $1,200 per year. Room selection is random with early selection for kids with medical or religious accommodations and a couple LLCs. Room selection happened last week.
+1. And ai have a senior moving into Pine (Global Village, which is language housing). As are several of her friends. She has not heard either formally or “through the grapevine” that there will be any issue moving into Pine on time in August. We have not been informed that this could be an issue as parents.
Parent of current WM student here - my student heard that students designated to live in the new dorms received an email just before school ended that there could be delayed with temporary housing in GGV. I think several of the buildings in the new complex will be finished but one may not be.
Also, it doesn’t sound like the new dining hall construction has really started yet so I am going to guess Caf may still be used next year.
With all that said - GREAT school and am just thrilled with it as a parent. Get on the parent FB page which is a great resource.
You can see pictures of the new dining hall construction in progress from many months ago yet you are saying the construction hasn't really started yet.

This isn't true. The new dining hall is inside Pine hall (look at the floor plan). My daughter is in a language house in Pine next year and I can confirm none of those students got an email about delays.

It's all rumors - I wouldn't even worry about something that not a single person has a real source forAnonymous wrote:Which dorm may not be finished? My kid is in a new dorm with a medical accommodation that may not be available in GGV.
