The kids enjoyed the day off of school yesterday but today there were explosions from drones above the city. Feels like things are spiraling.
Hope it all gets resolved quickly and peacefully.
No family but colleagues- some Pakistani & some ex-pats. Some Pakistanis stuck outside, away from family & unable to get back in due to closed air space. Definitely high anxiety. Really sad for both populations.
I am particularly worried about thr safety of HH Dalai Lama.

He was living in a heavily fortified, custom built complex half a mile away from Pakistan's military academy. And he was living there with multiple wives, kids, and grandkids, as well as other associates. Apparently they were buying the best brands, fancy soaps and shampoos, and soda, among other things. It doesn't seem like a particularly closely guarded secret to me.

That’s usually how it goes when Muslims gain power. I know that isn’t a pc thing to say but history isn’t very pc.

I don't think any population wants to be occupied militarily, especially when that force has a long history of human rights abuses including rape, torture, killing and much more.
