The tentative schedule I’ve seen for Gold 2 is M-F 5:00am - 6:45am at TY and S 6:00-8:00am at MU. I don’t know about dryland. So for the MU folks going to TY at 5:00 will be ok, but going home might not be.
Have you seen a tentative scheduled for Gold 1 at MU?
You don’t seem to understand that no one from MU is willing to drive to Tysons. Especially when being told that their kids don’t matter to NCAP
The poster literally asked about the Gold 1 schedule, and since Gold 1 is staying at MU no one that needs the Gold 1 schedule is driving to Tysons. Take a breath.
No need to try and sell that the commute to Tysons doesn’t such regardless of practice time. No one is doing it. You take a breath.
Again, no one in Gold 1 is driving to Tysons. I know you’re upset but maybe try to keep up with what you are responding to. Someone asking about the Gold 1 schedule isn’t asking for your anger about your kid having to go to Tysons for Gold 2. They quite frankly don’t care that your Gold 2 kid has to go to Tysons.
Thank you for coming to my defenseWe live on the opposite side of Tyson's from MU. So I'm trying to determine if Gold 1 at MU is an option for my swimmer. If it's the AM, yes. If PM, then no.

How is it a step down though? You saying “period” isn’t really convincing. If he actually is being made a head coach in waiting at GP, he gets a chance to be at Prep and get familiar with how it’s run, get to know the other coaches and more importantly the athletes he will be coaching, etc. I’m not a Tysons or GP parent but I’m just not seeing how this is a step down if people are saying Tyson’s AM was their Gold 2 group. If his goal is to run Gold 1 and be a head site coach that wasn’t happening Tyson’s/MU with John and Chris already in place, so moving over to GP would make sense.[/quote
Congratulations this is one of the dumbest most self-soothing posts I’ve seen in a while
Have you ever seen Bruce (Prep) or Jeremy (West) move from being a G1 coach to a G2 coach? No? It’s because they never would- their results are too good.
That’s a demotion bc the g1 group is underperforming. Duh.
OMG! He wasn’t a Gold 1 coach!! It’s been said multiple times - Gold AM is the equivalent of Gold 2. It wasn’t the high performing group- that was Gold PM under Coach John and Chris. Look at the fee sheet posted and you will see the PM group for Tyson’s listed.

Anonymous wrote:I would hardly call moving Gold 2 to Tysons blowing up the MU site. It’s 1 training group. You also know at the end of the day what is best for the club and its fastest swimmers is paramount, and that is their Gold 1 group. I’m sure when the Tysons equivalent of their Gold 1 group was moved to MU it was not a popular move with the Tyson’s parents either.

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Here’s the thing: the reason there are so many questions in this thread is because NCap is never transparent about its decision-making.
If you just use logic, a truly stellar Gold1 coach would never get shuttled to a different site to be a Gold2 coach, and if there are enough kids to fund two Gold groups they would do it for the money.
I thought everyone has been saying that Tyson’s AM was the equivalent of Gold 2, so isn’t he just making a lateral move rather than a step down?

Thanks for your concern but since I’m not affiliated with either site I’m not in need of soothing. The people on this thread are becoming increasingly unhinged. My question was why is everyone saying Tyson’s AM was essentially Gold 2 then, and that PM with John was the Gold 1 equivalent? Because based on what people at Tysons are saying on this thread, he is moving from Gold 2 to Gold 2. If everyone is wrong and AM is actually the Gold 1 equivalent then my thought process would be different.
