She’s never going to be a normal kid. Her parents are two of the most famous people in the world and she is growing up in a fabulously wealthy bubble. I think it’s impossible for kids like that to have a “normal” (like us) upbringing.

I think the kids just look older because they have their father's features.
The dancing and even the younger childs excitement are normal/routine for kids these days. There is nothing nefarious here.
I think it likely their parents are very protective (due to what they have seen in the industry especially). I don't think they are leaving them alone with anyone if they decide to go into the same industry. They'd be idiots if they did.

As a Black woman, I saw that moment a little differently—it actually felt super familiar. That look from Grandma Knowles? Very much 'Black grandma energy'—firm, but full of love. It’s not unusual in our families for elders to keep younger ones in check, even in the middle of joyful moments. Just a cultural thing that might look odd from the outside.

I guess there are a lot of geographic differences. I have one in 6th and one in 8th and haven't seen any of them looking like Blue Ivy. They are mostly in hoodies and sweats or leggings. Corsets with cleavage and full faces of makeup are just not in for 12 / 13 year olds were we are. Maybe we are all poor but no one is spending thousands on hair and makeup and outfits. Thankfully! Makes me glad we live where we do given those saying she is the norm for a middle schooler for where they live.

Not prom, but when my kids were in middle school, they did an 8th grade cruise on the potomac. When I tell you, my mouth dropped when I saw how the girls came. I have boys. I'm talking 6 inch heels, full makeup, heavy hair extensions, the nails, etc. Prom type dresses that were very mature-looking. They didn't look like this at school every day, but baybeee!!
