Harvard ? My kid also considering Harvard vs Yale and just has more information about Harvard at this point
Go to Bulldog days! Most kids are happier at Yale vs Harvard undergrad, but see what yours thinks.

I wish visitas wasn’t so late in April
^this. DC got into H and P but not Y. Hard to decide and I know it’s a great problem to have.

In case helpful, DC went to Bulldog days and had a miserable time. Chose Yale anyway and adores it. So those events can be misleading! Random aside, apparently there were a good number of kids who had already decided on Harvard and spent the whole time talking about it. Didn’t happen with any other top colleges 🤷🏼♀️

He was TO and a donor pick. This department of Education is hellbent on proving discrimination so they can fine universities $$$. Watch and see.

The only difference between a kid with top decile SAT (1390) and a kid with 1550-1600 is purely test taking skills OR a $3000 one on one test prep course only very few can afford.
Go ahead and make yourself feel better by assuming your snowflake is smarter and more deserving than the kid who “only” got a 1390
This person forgot to mention the other sources of high stats.
One is living in a school zone with houses so expensive that the least capable students would be at least average elsewhere.
Another is prepping/tutoring starting from the elementary years.
