Is st Mary’s going to announce honor roll for third trimester? They announced the “honor roll of donors.” Priorities?

Your poor kids.

A lot of teachers scramble to wrap up units and get the test in before spring break so the learning isn’t split or a test isn’t hanging over kids’ heads the whole time.

I dont believe there is a week without an assembly.
I totally agree with not a lot of happening before spring break but I have a child currently there and there were 7 different tests between grades 5-8 listed in today's message. So there are some things happening.

Former teacher here. No alot goes on the week before spring break. Many families leave early. However one could argue that the school incentivizes this behaviors with are masses and the Lenten retreat.

How long are these assemblies? My kid’s school (Episcopalian, not Catholic) has a school-related non-class block every day: chapel, morning meeting (essentially all-school assembly) twice a week, club meeting time, and advisory meeting time. And they still manage plenty of academic time. Sure, there’s the occasional all-day or half-day event as well, but those are built into the yearly calendar.
