The logic is that boys are not participating because they don’t want to. Maybe they view these pursuits as “too girly.” It’s been known that when girls and women start showing interest in a subject or a profession, the white males flee. Interestingly, wages tend to drop too.
Ok so..... Whatever? If fewer boys participate because they are simply not interested, fewer boys win awards.

I didn’t perceive the PP as complaining, just noting the trend. The contests I’ve been involved with used blind judging so it’s not like I knew I was reading a white/Asian/whatever kid’s work.
If there was a serious concern that boys are being discouraged from participating that’s one thing, but I haven’t been hearing that. But if you are going all in on the travel sports scholarship path, obviously there’s only so much time in the day and not much left for more time consuming pursuits like creative writing.

Some people were so sexist and racist they were willing to vote for the EVIL Orange Cheeto even if the Orange Cheeto does horrific, immoral, and illegal things….because they felt the bad stuff would only happen to the “others” they felt superior to.
And this right here is what really makes me hate the Democrats (or at least Dems like you) right now - the holier than though extremist attitude against anyone who doesn't agree with you. I mean grow up. Sure, I would love to see a female President and actually voted for Harris. But I would never "not" buy any Amish furniture again simply because of their personal/religious beliefs about women. That is ridiculous and people with that mentality are why the Democrats are going to continue to lose. Same thing with the Tesla cars....all the vandalism and protesting.
If the extremism on both sides continues I may actually vote 3rd party in the next election.

I’d like to know this as well. I’m well aware of places that want or do teach only the good parts but not aware of any place that teaches only the bad parts.

Maybe in your crap school your kids don’t learn about Thanksgiving, but mine have been getting parts of the full story since preK - the older they are the more they get.
The simplified bowdlerized version you got in ES was not the true story nor the full story. Some people really can’t tell the difference between history and National myth making.

Inclusion is not the opposite of self segregation. It’s a remedy to forced segregation and intentional exclusion.
