When parents view their children as a set of genetic characteristics that can be hacked, and fork over a lot of cash to make it so, there is high potential for them to be disappointed (at best) and enraged (at worst) if their investment doesn't pan out.
It would be a real test of unconditional love.

Yep, almost there. Maybe in 10-20 years we will basically become GATTACA. Once scientists figure out how to produce a 1,000 embryos in a lab, the gains from genetic selection for IQ will easily be around 20-30 points each generation.

Their odds are going to be excellent every time. This is just some inferior stock looking to make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear.
Do tell, who are these “real genetic elites” who have 100% guaranteed intelligent children every time they procreate?
The ones who have intelligence running multiple generations back on both sides. More likely to have smart kids and more likely to raise them to be smart kids. And of course, able to conceive them naturally, because that’s what genetic fitness is all about (although with big brains come big heads - so thank Zeus we have safe cesarean sections).

I’m not sure that Trumps is very high. Also he’s like 80 now so past his prime.
Yeah, I don’t think that Trump was ever very smart. Elon is probably a little above average. Multiple people that knew him have said that he’s definitely no genius.

As Democrats, we believe that our oppressor, the outsider who keeps thumping us at our own chosen game of politics, must be stupid.

That is…not how any of this works. We all have 2^N ancestors. Mathematically, most of those ancestors fall into the average area of the bell curve. Intelligence isn’t handed down intact like wealth from generation to generation. There isn’t a secret cabal of Very Smart families who vowed in the 1600s to intermarry only with each other.
Also, the big head = big intelligence theory is disproven by Matt Gaetz.
