Welcome to the world of demand and supply. It turns that there is an obscene demand and very limited supply. So mediocre schools like field or maret have disproportionate demand.

Assuming field is on spring break we won’t be hearing anything until April 1 at the earliest, right?

Ah, yes, full pay. They actually don’t give out a ton of financial aid compared to their peers. Look at financials on pro publication: revenue > expenses. Assets>liabilities. You’re quite wrong if you think they are hurting for applications, particularly after college results from past couple of years.

I don’t know why this person who obviously has no affiliation with the school, yet has a plethora of negative things to say that are unsubstantiated, continues to post on this thread.

Yes, and every private school needs money. That’s how you stay solvent. So that comment struck me as off too. If they still have debt from previous land purchases and building projects, they have it managed well enough to give $3 million in financial aid and still run annual surpluses.

We're a grade of less than 30 families...we have grade-wide get togethers and a group chat. Many of us were talking about it at the recent fundraiser plus our kids are in the know about people applying, new kids coming, etc.

DP at a different school. But we have a grade level parent group chat at our K-8. It doesn't take much to know who is staying or going.

They double the class size for 9th. That means they let in at least 30 kids.
