I'm a teacher. Do tell what left wing ideology we're indoctrinating students in. I just want them to stop staring at their phones.
How can you be so stupid to think this is actually happening.
In my local HS, in NoVa, teachers did not tell parents when a child announced a new name in class. I think it was their policy (but I’m not sure). This is not appropriate. Keeping secrets with children is simply wrong. Teachers should email parents of significant changes and social issues at school . Teachers honestly messed up.It’s not all on them as the medical community and AAP also participated. We are all paying now.
It's not keeping secrets. God you all are so dim. I have right now a cis male whose name is, let's say James Smith, in one of my classes. He goes by Mac in school. At conferences, his parents called him James. No one's heads exploded.
Sorry I'm not calling every parent to confirm nicknames or changed names or whatever. You're being ridiculous.
Parents don’t even know the vocabulary you are using for social issues. I do not. I really don’t. It’s against my upbringing and religion. You really didn’t think this would become a problem? With the volume you were seeing. Most teachers I know are great - but also not politically saavy

Also, everyone gets paid through June 9th? That is actually a generous severance.
But who is going to take care of what the DOE did previously? Will there be more jobs in state education departments now?

Liar.
A reason WAS given.
It says right in the email: for security reasons.
Have you always struggled with reading comprehension?

People have always had the choice to send their kids to private schools. Are you suggesting that there are people who don’t now have that freedom? Or is it really that such people can’t afford their choices, and want taxpayers to pay for their decisions?

You’re a terrible selfish person.

Yup. A bunch of “schools” popping up in your local strip malls that will take all those vouchers the state gives out. Get ready for years of horror stories
Same. Are you an agitator?
A bunch of uneducated yokels who fear anyone mildly different than their Bible thumping inbred parents.

Good. Alabama and other red states have been receiving federal funding for too long. Increase the pain! Gut every program going to red states!
The disdain is another reason people are happy to see it burn.
