Did someone hurt your child? Because while girls may not be nice at tryouts I never heard any kind of wild stories before. What I generally hear is so and so (outside kids) aren’t being nice to anyone and didn’t talk to anyone. Whatever that means. Kids are weird. If your kid was mean to maybe there was more to the story. No one is teaching their kids to be mean. Not being friendly doesn’t mean they are being mean. Now if they are verbally attacking someone - yes that’s absolutely being mean. ECNL level 12/13yr - at the very least if not older - u don’t tell them who they have to be friend with anymore.
Read your first sentence. Nobody has to "tell" children to be mean. They imitate the behaviour of their parents.
Without your first sentence, which was completely unnecessary to make your point, and actually devalues it, to me, you did make a pair amount of sense. But since it's there, if your kids speaks to people like you just did...

Not trying to be sass about it but if your kid doesn’t like the team vibe or team culture with the amount of times spent at the tryouts - tryout somewhere else that he/she likes the. Every team is different.
I have heard parents talking negatively about kids on certain team etc without really knowing the team. I’m just saying that every kid is different and every team has different vibe. Find the one that fit your kid.

Isn't that what building a competitive travel program is about? Team selection should be based on ability not how long you've been there.
Being competitive doesn't stop you from being friendly or kind. My kid will go 1v1 with yours and then help yours up off the turf.

IMHO there’s not a lot of loyalty to players at Arlington. So if the current players aren’t very friendly at ID sessions, it’s because they know that they’re playing for their lives. Any that with rosters of 25-30, every new player in their position either cuts into their playing time or potentially squeezes them out entirely.
Anyone who doesn’t start is on the chopping block and knows it.

Big and fast players? Are we talking about American football here? I thought soccer IQ, first touch, passing ability, taking players on, 1v1 skills, dribbling, and shooting technique were more important.
You can have every attribute you mentioned, but if you can't use it to beat a bigger faster kid, what good is it? Younger arlington team has smaller technical players on their back line that get beat by bigger faster players. They also have a smaller player that's not as technical but blazing fast that's very effective. Coaches across every sport take kids at younger ages with attributes that they can't teach. A summer of ball mastery can fix touch. A summer of speed training for a kid without the build or genetics can only make them so fast. That's just the way things go.

It’s giving desperation.
A couple of points. I think this was sent in response to rumors like the ones on this board. Second, it is actually great that a club is telling people what is going on. Finally, why would they not be in ECNL next year? Sure if ecnl falls apart but other than on this board most people think GA is in rough shape. The agreement with MLSNext was desperation. The agreement says nothing, promises nothing, and does nothing except let GA offer false hope. McLean moved because they were mad at ECNL. NVA moves makes sense only is it is followed by 20-30 ecnl clubs moving to GA. The numbers are going to go in the other direction.
Who is 'most people?' Are you cold contacting people outside of NoVA asking their thoughts on ECNL vs GA? Well if you arent then surely there are some links to this information scattered across the internet. Do provide.

Yup, step outside of the NoVA bubble and there is absolutely no massive movement from ECNL->GA nationwide.
