So what's next parents?
This will get faded until next time. Council member Friedson has said he has done this type of meeting before. That is not good! Unless parents now take drastic measures, what are those panelists going to do??
Parents have to keep the pressure on. MCPS is just hoping this all blows over again.

Yes. Peter Moran said they would cost $100 million to just implement in high schools. Marcus said they’re doing evaluations and exploration with vendors but won’t be coming anytime soon.

No hard commitments just “we will look into in.” No action will be taken and no change will happen until something tragic does and even then …. Honestly I left more worried. Also last years pta lead was amazing. I wish an action oriented person was on the job.
Last year's PTSA head was indeed amazing, but so is this year's PTSA head... Lo and behold they are one and the same person... Laurie Bolt! She is the definition of action-oriented and is working TIRELESSLY to get this mess sorted. Get more involved and you'll be able to see this yourself.
Ok Laurie Bolt thanks for writing here
Nope, just a parent. Not on ptsa even just talk to folks who are. You should be ashamed of yourself for trashing people who do this sort of crucial and also thankless job. If you are so great and know so much, why aren’t you doing it.
As often happens on this site, you are responding to people you think posted something. Try again. Definitely not someone to bash volunteers because that means I would be bashing myself. Also not on any PTSA.
