Not knocking it or even hoping that anything changes, people are knocking Mclean for their decision but if this rumor is true, they're looking to buy into another league that they believe will workout for their recruiting in the future.
No clubs develop, this is all about showcasing and recruiting, and if this is true, Mclean is hedging their bets on GA.
There’s no player development around here, but there’s player development in other parts of the country? Get a life, man. What a ridiculous thing to say. All of the great players out of this area just get better magically and through personal trainers?
Show me a modern day homegrown talent on the girls side that went through a club from u little to where they are now from around here? Highly doubt you'll find one. It just doesn't happen her in the states. It might happen elsewhere, certainly not here, and it's certainly not the norm.
Has anybody watched the Pulisic doc? There's no Dortmund equivalent here.

That and if Girls Academy is indeed establishing a true 2nd tier like MLSN2, that will for certain be significantly better than the RL/VPSL around here that is just stagnant and not fun to watch.
Why would tier 2 GA be better than tier 2 ECNL. That makes no sense. Some of the tier 1 GA teams are already weak.
So are some of the Tier 1 ECNL teams

Screw the girls… they don’t matter i agree w others on this board.. an all girls club would takeover
How do the leadership still have jobs? What a mess for the families that experienced this for the last 3 years. Powerhouse to local community club.
Theyve been screwing the girls forever. This is nothing new. They depend on feeder clubs for talent since they can not develope internally. Now that everyone will soon be on same playing field we will all find out which club truly developed players vs the ones that have. When faking all these years because they depended on a league to attract the talent
Nobody develops talent around here. The players you see shining on certain clubs, most of that is via work on their own.
While its not like that in every part of the country, this area is very much just platform based. Players are simply trying to play at places that they can be showcased best. If in one offseason a league can show they will showcase better than the other, players will move also.
Do the math? Look at the breakdown of your current ECNL teams? Most are from other clubs.
You're just reinforcing what I am saying?
