Elon does not have the power or the authority to do that. And for that matter neither does the President. Only Congress has the power to stop funding, and for the Executive Branch to stop funding a program is unconstitutional and illegal impoundment.

He will then suggest that the entire payment system be privatized and/or suggest the country start using Bitcoin or some other crypto junk all the billionaires have already vested interest in. Musk/Zuckerberg/Bezos probably have some kind of payment system like PayPal setup and want to use it for all govt transactions and banking. They'll get administrative fees per transaction or 1% cut per million dollars. Not too shabby when $6T flows through that every year.
God. This is so so soooko awful. The USA is toast.

Treat me like I'm 10 pls
One way is to go to the representative’s website and click on the contact information. It should provide a phone number to call and a form to send an email. If you call, you can say something like: “This is Mary Smith, one of your constituents. I’d like to speak with someone regarding an article I saw in [WaPo, Reuters, wherever] regarding Elon Musk seeking to access the US Treasury’s payment systems. This is concerning to me because …”
Email works too
A lot of them have changed emails and require you to attest you live in their district. Probably because so many progressives wrote in. I did all the time during Trump’s first term. Which is infuriating because they represent people. I think I’m going to start mailing postcards.

Why can’t people inDC call?
Senators and representatives do not take calls from outside their state or district. They will not talk to you if you live in DC.
