What is your problem with the day being a professional day? How is this causing you incredible stress? That is something you can take up with your doctor. You can pay for daycare if that is your issue. If you don't like the schedule, please go to private school.

I would not want to send my child to a school that I believe is run by idiots. I think that would make me an idiot.


Private schools have even fewer days in school. They are only required to have 170 a year, while public schools have to have 180.


My younger kids were in private during the blizzards of what 09 and 15 or 16. They never made up the days missed.

Op did you think they would rearrange the calendar? Then what, since the snow days weren't work days?

Also why is "get their grades in" in quotes. Imagine the uproar if grades weren't submitted. There are various threads on grading every term.
