How sad to go through life with no values. And without books or any knowledge of history, apparently.
DP but which values?
I value the workers who work at Target. I value people having access to food and other essentials sold there. I value the (paltry) US-manufactured goods they sell. And the taxes Target pays locally.
I value that Target follows US law with respect to anti-discrimination practices and equality.
I don’t care if Target, a corporation, follows some EO for government agencies.
If you put political party over community, that’s prioritizing your values. It doesn’t mean your values are “better.”
The fact that you think this is about a “political party” tells me you are nowhere near understanding the challenges and misery our country and everyone in it are about to go through. None.

As far as DEI just not working in the marketplace, Costco would like a word. Over the last 5 years, Costco stock rose nearly 200%, 37% rise in the last year. Their board strongly recommended that shareholders vote to keep the DEI policies that have helped make Costco the success that it is.
Correlation does not equal causation. The stock of Intellinetix went up 256% over the last 5 years. They make document management software solutions. Did they do well because of DEI, or because they had a good product?
And you know who absolutely loves Costco like it’s a religion? Red states. You couldn’t pry Costco from their cold dead hands.
Tell me you've never been to the Fairfax Costco without telling me you've never been to the Fairfax Costco....
You do know that the Fairfax Costco is in southern Fairfax County. It's full of MAGA down there.

It’s not about who votes however. It’s about making DEI the boogyman when it really need not be. You just don’t understand DEI and feel threatened by it. After canning DEI in the federal government, they cancelled a book club we have because the books were about women who were historically discriminated against, and how they overcame adversity. The book club was entirely volunteer — you attended on your own time (that is, you did not charge the government) and only if you wanted to attend. It was entirely extracurricular, yet somehow it’s threatening, I guess.

I’ve never been to the Fairfax Costco. I don’t live in Fairfax and…I don’t love Costco. So much stuff in really big quantities.

Exactly. Maybe you’ll save some money now. Protest away. Your husband will thank you.
