It's surely not the norm for every muckety muck to get secret service details for decades after leaving government.
Is it normal for the president to realize more than 1,000 goons, who have already committed violence in his name? They were found guilty in a court of law. Now they are roaming around our streets (I would take an illegal alien over them anytime!)
Oh give it a rest. Your guy sent a man who killed two cops from prison to his comfy house. Pardon power isn’t a new thing and the person who abused it most was Biden.

Then he was caught at a baseball game violating his own recommendations.

This is how it starts, and Trump will feign ignorance when it happens.
Fauci has security. It’s just that taxpayers are no longer on the hook for it.
It is taxpayers who he is in danger from. Seems only right that taxpayers should pay for his security.
You could say that about anyone in government who has experienced a death threat. If there is one, you investigate and prosecute.
You don’t provide taxpayer provided security for every instance for all of time going forward.
Are you always this obtuse, or is it just on Fridays?
Personal insults indicate a lack of debate skills.
If he wants security he can pay for it privately. Just like he is.
It’s a difference of opinion.

It’s difficult to have an intelligent debate with someone who refuses to engage in objective reality.
Trump didn’t cut Fauci’s security detail to the taxpayers money.
Right? Why do they pretend this hasnothing to do with retribution or partisanship?
Either they are stupid or they think we are.
Because admitting that is admitting they’re in a cult and anything their leader does is ok with them.
I don’t agree with everything Trump does but I agree with this decision.
Why? Because you think Trump did this to save money or because you think it’s ok for Trump to openly target his enemies?
Because Fauci wasn’t entitled to taxpayer security in the first place!
Why not? He was receiving taxpayer security because some people are mad at him because of the pandemic (even on this thread), because of his job. Seems very reasonable that he would receive taxpayer security while receiving threats because of his job. It happens for other public employees, when they receive threats because of their jobs.
Seems reasonable while he was working in his official role. But he stepped down in 2022. He isn’t owed lifetime government funded security. Seems reasonable for him pay for whatever security he feels necessary at this point
He’s not been granted lifetime security. He had a security detail while the threat level was still elevated. Trump isn’t removing the security detail because Fauci’s no longer in danger.

So are our political and business leaders just going to start dropping like flies? Is that the America we are headed for?
Agree. The “liberals” PP should provide cites on who was not bothered in the aftermath of the UHC CEO assassination. Show who in Democratic leadership was not bothered/did not care. Back up your claims.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:His position doesn’t warrant taxpayer funded security. He is paying for his own going forward as is appropriate.
Agree. He does not need a govt funded security detail anymore

Did Biden put who he perceived as an enemy in danger by cutting off their security? Nope, because he isn’t a spiteful (fill in the blank) like the current occupant of the WH. But as other posters have pointed out, magas aren’t capable of having a sane rationale conversation. Do you also argue with everyone you work with?
Are you kidding me right now? Don’t you recall Trump’s request for more security after the first assassination attempt? Or how about when politicians were asking for greater security when protesters were outside the door of SCOTUS judges post Roe being overturned? Do you not remember the recent past??

They might get such a significant amount of credible threats that warrants it.
If there's a credible threat, then it's warranted. I don't know who's threatening Pompeo or Bolton, haven't seen much about that on any online forums, but I've definitely seen a lot of unhinged RWNJ vitriol, hate and threats directed at Fauci online.
Iran.
Trying reading a newspaper sometime. (But hurry since they will soon all be censored by meta)

He pulled the mask down for a few minutes to drink water. He was outdoors. The people next to him were his wife and a close friend. So FO with that BS.

The photo shows he wasn’t drinking, he was looking at his phone.
