I don’t have a job starting in 6/16, but in years past, many camps that recruit teachers hold their onboarding the day after public schools get out so that they can start camp the following week. If you skip onboarding, you are fired.
These are great jobs that pay well with lovely kids and parents. It’s hard to give them up and stock at Target or bar tend at the country club for the summer over one day.
I’m past those years financially, thank God. However, I had the opportunity to do a seminar at an Ivy League university one year. We had two makeup days that year.
