I drink a big glass of fat free lactose free milk every day. I didn’t think it was something to be ashamed about! Getting calcium from the original source is much better for your bones than taking supplements.

Ma’am, you are a weirdo.

This is what I had with dinner every night as a kid but now I can’t drink milk like that! I’ve gotten more lactose intolerant-ish as I’ve gotten older. My kids do though.

Same. Sometimes when I make something really homey like my mom would have made (think meatloaf or cottage pie) I drink it with some milk. It just fits.

I don't like to use salad forks.

Just realized that tomorrow's breakfast probably isn't normal: I'll be having leftover baked ziti and cantaloup.

That’s called an allergy.

Reminds me of my friend who once said something like "I love bananas, but I hate how much they make your mouth burn after eating them." I was like "girl, you're allergic!" She got an allergy test and sure enough, she's allergic to bananas and also related foods like avocado and melon. She lived her whole life thinking those foods just caused a burning mouth after eating.

I get a prickly feeling in my tongue when I eat pineapple or kiwi. Pretty sure i was an adult before someone suggested to me that it’s an allergy. It really hadn’t occurred to me prior to that. My parents and siblings all have the same thing so I guess it didn’t seem unusual.

This happens when I eat pineapple but I thought it was an acid thing. I also get if I have too much acid in one day. Tomatoes and vinegar and pineapple…

It usually is the bromelain in pineapple

I had to wean myself off my beloved tuna fish sandwiches of my youth, when I learned that there was too much heavy metal contamination in large fish. I ate so many!

I occasionally make an ersatz with canned salmon... but it's not the same.

Late at night, I sometimes get a kimchi/chips craving, which I eat with chopsticks (I'm Asian). I love the flavor of kimchi paired with the crispy chips texture. But I'm careful not to eat too much of it - too salty.

I also love tuna and would eat it every day if it weren't for the whole mercury problem. I especially love a really ripe giant summer jersey tomato stuffed with tuna salad.

I love tuna salad too. I'm down to once a month. I make them for a women's shelter, but really I make them for me. So good.

Adding to the chorus of love for tuna salad.

I love it, but I’m also very picky about it. I won’t eat just anyone’s. I haven’t eaten a restaurant tuna sandwich in over a decade.

The tuna salad at Santini's is to die for. I even like just the scoop on lettuce. I dream about it!

My 82-year-old uncle drinks a big glass of whole milk at every dinner! I love milk and would probably do the same if it were not for the calories/fat... I drink about 16-24 oz of liquid at dinner and prefer to save my calories for dessert afterwards.

I prefer all of my food to be mixed. Casseroles are my obvious favorite, but even on a normal dinner plate I will put a little bit of everything on my fork and eat it at once. I hate eating just one type of food at a time.

Are you from the Midwest? I’m your exact opposite- I prefer one food at a time.

this one is the only interesting response here. I'm going to have to give it a try.

Please do and report back! And don’t be stingy with the cocoa powder.

I am the allergy pp above, yes, I know it is an allergy. I have so many of them though, to dairy, like not lactose, but dairy allergy, and I like to pretend I am just "sensitive!" People always think I am lying if I actually bring up how many allergies I have. As a child I would break out in hives if I touched a flower. I was treated with immunoglobulin shots several times, until that was not a thing any more.
