Mine is a wider age gap but similar otherwise

Best of both worlds because women lose desire for their DHs after long enough so if he's younger and fit then that desire stays. And then the men don't get butthurt because their woman doesn't want intimacy anymore.

We're way less insecure, and also care far more about our pleasure, and less about simply being an object for men to use. If you want an engaged, enthusiastic, present partner, older women are the better bet.

Relationships of any age are OK as long as legal, though a working adult dating someone still in high school or college still strikes me as odd in terms of the social maturity difference.

I’d also add that the boy toy / sugar mama scenarios depicted here are somewhat idealized and not always indicative of reality. From about 25 to 35 I dated a number of older women ranging from about 3-10 years older than me, for anything ranging from ONS to 2-3 month relationship. All were well intentioned people but most had some type of baggage younger women don’t - drinking / drug problem, past family trauma, taking care of older relative, too busy at work to commit / marry, weight issues etc. Mostly average physical traits myself included, and coin flip as to whether the sex itself was better though they were definitely faster to say yes because they knew what they wanted and were often time constrained, with the added bonus that protection became very optional in their 40s.

Feels like everyone here is looking for the fresh break up / divorce where the woman was totally normal and just wronged by abuse, cheating or neglect. I can assure you that is less than 20 percent of the 20 percent and I would not encourage men to specifically change their dating preferences to seek that out. I was always “equal opportunity” age wise but honestly just ended up with older women a lot because I matured later socially and wasn’t always deemed as attractive by those my age.
