I worked with him in two schools and he was always positive and wanted only the best for kids. While he sometimes confronted teachers about how they were teaching and got pushback he never was sexually inappropriate with anyone. This allegation that is being made is truly unfounded and libel. I was very involved in both schools and there were no reports about that ever made.

He didn’t always handle every situation best but his intentions I believe were always good. There were staff who wanted to be left alone and not consider his feedback and they became very defensive and confrontational.

I think it is sad that someone who went through due process and the courts and was cleared to return isn’t being given a fair chance to do his job that he’s devoted his life to doing.

The video does not show he hit the child’s foot. The judge noted that the child does not react as if his foot was ever hit.

Enough already. He lost his school, was arrested, case was dismissed or he was acquitted, and MCPS seems lucky that he didn’t sue them for how things were handled.

I believe it’s time to move on and allow him to return. No doubt he will be micromanaged and watched.

The original post was about how the elementary school community has a petition to keep him out of their building. No one is trying to ruin his life. Perhaps he should take a hint that he’s not exactly welcome back to schools and pursue something in offices away from kids. This is just not a good fit after everything that has happened

Since he was cleared by the courts and MCPS he should be allowed to continue his career. Making an argument not to permit him in a school is saying what happened in the courts and with his due process doesn’t matter. As a result you are saying he did do it when it was never proven which does in fact ruin him. Let’s also be honest he didn’t choose where to go, MCPS did.

What is really sad is that over 90% of students in grades 3-5 returned the survey and on the answer to question

Most of the time, my teachers can teach without being interrupted by students who misbehave.

30.1% of students agreed
44.2% of students disagreed
20.5% of students strongly disagreed

This is such a sad metric that the majority of students in 23-24 school responded this way.

But going back to school climate in 22-23 the answer to

Those numbers look pretty good. Then looks what happens when he isn't there the whole year for 23-24 what the responses are

I am just randomly reading post procrastinating so actually have no vested interested. I work for a different school system but the complaints seem from parents whose kids did not behave in an orderly manner. Most of my colleagues are counting down the years until we retire and telling our kids don't even consider being a public school teacher.
