Probably not until closer to their tryout dates later in the spring I'd guess given their alternate schedule in ECNL NA

Makes sense, they will come into the North Atlantic in the second tier, becuase they are one of the first ECNL conferences to expeirment with promotion and relegation. SW conference is also doing this so good company to keep I guess...

I believe that Potomacs first team will play in this league.


One would hope because many of their second teams are horrendously bad.

More specific question: Potomac 2010 girls appear to have 2 B teams, but one is labeled “Potomac Premier II 10G” and the other is “Potomac Premier II 10G South”.

Will they both play in this new league? Why are their two B teams? (south of Potomac is Bethesda, LOL)

I think it does a lot for the girls side. It's basically rl, which is where they can compete. It's also based on teams not clubs, so you don't have to have a team for all ages.

For the boys, it's probably Potomac's 3rd teams. I don't see them leaving unless they restructure the North Atlantic RL, which could be possible.

nothing has been formally announced by any clubs that i have seen.

Yes to the two PPs. I think this is a bizarre announcement and really does nothing on the girls side… which is too bad because I know several girls who would be a great fit for a higher level team that is not the Bethesda 1 team.

I see what you’re saying about the map but I also don’t quite see how adding clubs the likes of Brit Am and Rockville Soccer, basically MSI Classic clubs that are branching out more into travel, even remotely compare to RL. And they don’t even have teams many of those years u13-18.


One could say that about DCSC or LMV.
