Which is strange to me because in my neighborhood, there are many Harris/Walz signs and signs supporting the term limits right next to them. I don’t think this is as straightforward D vs R as DCUM posters want to make it seem.

Meanwhile, development interests who might be Republican, including real estate agents, title companies, rental management companies, etc., who stand to benefit from increased activity associated with the YIMBY-supported density push, might well be termed YIYBYs, relatively safe in their less- or un-affected neighborhoods. For them, a more restrictive term limit would provide double benefit. First by getting Elrich, himself, out of the way from a development perspective, and second by limiting the effectiveness of any Dem executive to come (as a Republican win in the county, given continuing demographic shifts, remains unlikely for some long time).
