I remember I had a personal trainer years ago. I was 40 and done having kids and wanted to get back in shape. He was 23. And randomly without any prompting or been having a discussion that made any sense to bring it up told me he didn’t want kids and had a vasectomy. He apparently had a g/f and said they talked about it. All I could think about is ok-but like what if you don’t end up staying with this g/f and meeting someone you do in fact want to have kids with. Seems so so young to make such a permanent decision. I feel like the changes in your /wants needs that happen between young twenties and early thirties are pretty vast.

I think it's fine as long as they are upfront about it. I dated someone who mentioned on the third date that he'd had a vasectomy, so I broke up with him. I was grateful I didn't waste any more time with him.

I think it’s great. I am a teacher and know a lot of kids with single moms and deadbeat dads. Prevent unwanted pregnancies ahead of time, and then have the procedure reversed down the road if you really want to.
