If it’s leaking every night you should try something else. You might have better success with just a regular diaper that you can adjust the tapes to fit. They make a size 7 now that can accommodate bigger kids.
We've done this with my 8 year old, they're the only thing that has worked, we've tried every other product but could only avoid leaks with diapers for now.

Of course you can’t train him not to do something while asleep! My kid is 11 and not night trained. Just a deep sleeper. NBD.
