Having paid very little for uniforms from cappelli at a previous club, I don’t mind how much we’re paying for a much better brand. They’re not falling apart!

Hoping they’ll still look nice for the entire 2 years of wear. My kids live in their kits so we’ve gotten plenty of use from them and their past kits.

Former club front office person here…. There may be some clubs that do this but by and large it’s on the manufacturer . Clubs are given a very slim set of options for what the kids can wear. When it comes to club uniform kits very few soccer apparel companies offered women’s cut uniforms. There is a reason for this companies such as adidas, Nike, etc. never believed in the economic value of women buying and wanting sports and uniforms apparel. If you listen to the stories of the USWNT from the 90s and 00s this has been happening for a looong time. The attitude has changed somewhat but there are still major elements of sexism within the apparel manufacturers. That is evident in the bizarre rigidity in using white shorts (fought like hell about that one-thankfully i won)

It is also an issue with athletic shoes too.




Have your DD puts some spandex bike shorts on underneath their shorts, the compression is good for muscles and protects from all the potential mishaps of white shorts with an extra layer. Arguing over this is why soccer sucks here

Uniforms are only made for short cycles. Its not the clubs' faults, it is Nike or Adidas or whoever you're using. They make a fortune by forcing all soccer players to replace uniforms. even when the kids grow, some families could have passed them to the younger siblings but the companies don't let it work that way. Three kids (training, two game sets) for us was about $225 and next year everyone has to get new ones. Again though, it's not on the clubs.

Some of you lot need to put your righteous indignation about kit costs, what's wrong with "the system" in this country and how it is crap and expensive where your mouth is and just walk away from the sport. If it's so terrible and mismanaged vote with your feet.

Go sign your child up for another activity. Hard truth, for many of you, and your kids, this is an activity. By staying I'm to assume, many of the complainers just like to tell people how "Satchel" or "Wind" play travel soccer. Then you complain to them about how it's such a bad system here.

Once you leave, this board will still be awful but at least it will just be posters who go troll other clubs or the "lol" and "ha ha you are so hilarious" parents.

That's a club decision for not choosing a women's fit jersey for the girls. Our club has women's fit for the girls that wear at least an adult XS.

Don’t worry, the families pay the up charge to have the sponsor logo screened onto the uniform, not the sponsor. So the sponsor gives money to the club and the families then have to pay…more.
