Meh. (Disclosure: I've spent around 18k on my tattoos)
And I have found it a better use of my money than a vacation. The tattoos are permanent; a vacation is not.
And for me, I love art. I buy art. I make art. And I love wearing art on my body. I am patient to get the artist I want. I spend a lot to get quality work. And at the end of the day, I am thrilled with how I spent my money. Do you criticize the same people that spend thousands on a luxury car? Or men that spends thousands on obscure hobbies or collections? It brings people happiness.
And while I agree that that there are MANY bad tattoos out there, you have to recognize that there is a lot of beautiful art work on skin. These are not my tattoos but I do have tattoos by some of these artists. It is money well spent, imo. They may not be your preferred style, but it's disingenuous to claim that its not art

Loving art or not-why would you want these on your body?

Not sure if this is relevant to much of anything, but, we took a trip to Spain recently, and I noticed a relative lack of tattoos among the people we saw there.

Anyone who thinks there is a correlation between tattoos and what kind of spouse/parent a person would make or what their sexual history is does not have critical thinking skills. And just sound judgy AF.
