Wow that is some colossal stupidity right there.
Fiber feeds the tens of trillions of bacteria in the gut, which is the seat of human health. Fermentation of that fiber by those trillions of bacteria is how short chain fatty acids are produced- there is no other way to get SCFAs, no supplements or foods that provide them absent fiber.
Look at your own dentition - see all those broad flat surfaces that make up your teeth? They evolved for the regular consumption of fiber. You are a primate; the primary foods of primates are fiber rich.
Historically humans routinely consumed up to 100g plus of fiber daily. The current RDA is not even 1/3 that amount, and the average American is not coming anywhere close to meeting the RDA - most don’t even consume 1/3 of that RDA.
Low fiber diets cause chronic disease and ultimately early death. A healthy gut can process fiber with minimal gastrointestinal distress, once it has adjusted from eating the typical toxic sugar laden fatty sludge diet that most Americans are eating.
+1 All the blue zones eat a ton of fiber too.
Lol. The Blue Zones have been proven to be fake
?? There ARE areas where more people tend to live to 100+. That is not fake. I swear you’re the same weirdo who gets mad whenever anyone mentions being intentional with fiber intake. You have major beef with fiber for some bizarre reason.
One of the secrets to making it to 100+ is to be born on the 1st day of a month. Haha.
Yes, blue zones are not real
You are such a tool. Millennials are 3x more likely to develop colon, pancreatic, and other digestive cancers than Boomers were. Making sure you get enough fiber, which specifically can lower your risk of these, is smart. it’s such a ridiculous thing for you to choose to mock.
Lol. The food companies absolutely love you!

Not remotely.

In short: every meal I eat has protein and something with fiber. Breakfast = plain greek yogurt, 1 TB seeds (chia/hemp/flax mix), and berries (raspberry, blackberry, strawberry or a mix of both) and two prunes every day. I do eat "an apple a day" either with lunch or as a snack for the fiber. I have a lot of dishes with beans for lunch/dinner (veggie chili, mujadara, black bean enchiladas, etc). I also have bowls made with either brown rice or quinoa and a protein and veggies and that is almost always topped with avocado. I eat a lot of roast veggies, etc.
I'm just paying attention in a way I didn't before.
