Having different views political or otherwise is fine. But if one or both of you is an extremist then it’s a problem. My husband and I are moderates on different sides and we do just fine. A marriage is a series of compromises so we are able to make it work. My husband is pro life but he does believe in a woman’s right to choose within reason.

My husband and father both consider themselves Republican, because the party used to represent fiscal conservativatism, strong military and religious policies (or something along those lines). Remember Reagan and Bush? They were honorable enough. But now the GOP is crazy. They won’t vote for the crazy people. There’s different political views and then there’s crazy Trumpers.

I am married to someone with different political views. He thinks that gearing up for a war with china should be our biggest political priority, I think that protecting abortion rights should be our biggest political priority. I am mature enough to respect his opinion and not let it impact our relationship.

It's so easy for men to say that it's immature of women to refuse to date people who are pro-Trump because they don't have to bear the consequences of a Trump presidency. It's not their rights that will be stripped away. Don't listen to these people.

In the past, it was not a big deal. Now, I feel like certain political stances are intolerable, promoting criminal behavior or sexism or anti-government. I couldn’t be with someone who condones those things.

I used to be able to date republicans easily, as a moderate to slightly progressive Dem. it worked out ok for most of my dating life. But since 2016, it's been so much harder. And there aren't enough democratic men to match up with all the lefty women here, so the struggle is real. I recently broke up with someone who voted for trump twice but wasn't MAGA. Probably good timing given recent events.

My divorced cousin is finding this out to her chagrin. I’d take this as a sign to get a little therapy. My therapist taught me how to spot the kinds of guys I was looking for. This is a decision you really need to get right the first time, if at all possible.

He still went to an Ivy league school. And so did the craziest at the supreme court and a non negligible members of Republican congresspeople. We have a weird and interesting system in this country to be honest. Some of the people who are trying to destroy our country went to some our best colleges but we still refer to them as having low IQs and/or have low regard for their intellect.
Can you read? That PP is not talking about the IQ of the candidate. It's about the intellectual ability of anyone who can't see who he really is (when he's literally telling us exactly who he is!)
