Love this, but haven't seen it for a while. Is it still going on?

It's not in Chevy Chase, though, PP - it's actually in Bethesda, just the easternmost part. So "East Bethesda" makes sense, as opposed to, say "North Bethesda."

Plus, it's not like Chevy Chase is a step down from Bethesda, like Rockville/Gaithersburg is a step down from Potomac.

The superintendant has recommended a different site (Rock Creek Hills park) to the Board of Education, but the site selection process is not technically complete.

"Their peers are largely from Bethesda and Chevy Chase, so you can go wrong!"

I assume you mean you CAN'T go wrong. Because of course, character is determined by one's household income.

Is the East Bethesda parade open to kids who do not live in the neighborhood?

Then move somewhere else- He is buying houses that were eye sores and not maintained. His new plan is to build smaller ones than his last batch but he is building houses a lot slower than he used to.

Ah, that makes sense. Thanks, Jeff!
